Brought your hero through the Echoes of Aincrad demo? Here is how to carry that progress into the full game — including the Day 1 Patch rules, platform limits, and what to do if the prompt never shows.

Step-by-Step Transfer
Update the Full Game
Install the latest update file (Day 1 Patch Ver.1.0.3 or newer). Demo save transfer was added in this patch — without it the carry-over prompt will not appear. On PlayStation 5, the physical edition must download the update before transfer works.
Launch & Accept Agreements
Start the full version of Echoes of Aincrad. Work through the required license and agreement screens until you reach the title screen.
Choose 'Carry Over'
If compatible demo data is detected, a prompt appears asking whether you want to import it. Select 'Carry over'. All save data slots from the demo are transferred together.
Hold to Confirm
On the transfer confirmation screen, press and hold the Confirm button for several seconds. This safety delay prevents accidentally overwriting or skipping your save.
Load Your Save
After the success message, select Close, then Game Start from the title screen. Pick your imported save from the save data selection screen to continue where the demo left off.
Platform & Mode Rules
Same Platform Only
Steam → Steam, PS5 → PS5, Xbox → Xbox. Cross-platform carry-over is not supported, so a PC demo save will not follow you to a console.
All Slots Transfer
Every demo save slot moves over together. You cannot pick and choose individual files during the carry-over.
No Death Game Mode
A save carried over from the demo can never be switched into Death Game Mode. That permadeath challenge needs a fresh full-game save.
Keep the Demo Save
Do not delete your DEMO Version save data from the device. If you decline carry-over, you need that file intact to redo the transfer later.
Troubleshooting
