Echoes of Aincrad Augite Dungeons
The story ends — the grind begins. Augite Dungeons are Echoes of Aincrad's post-game challenge loop: randomized floors that hand you colored Augite for your Brooch and quietly gate the recruitment of Kirito, Asuna, Klein and the rest of the cast.

After the credits, Augite Dungeons open as a repeatable, randomized endgame activity.
What Are Augite Dungeons?
Post-Game Loop
Augite Dungeons unlock after the main story. They are repeatable, randomized challenge runs — not fixed story maps — that become the backbone of endgame progression.
Brooch Gems
Each clear rewards a colored Augite. Slot them into your three-slot Brooch to permanently tune your stats and reshape your build for late-game content.
Recruit the Cast
Hidden dungeon teleporters double as gates for recruiting Kirito, Asuna, Agil, Klein, Lisbeth and more as permanent partners. Dungeons and recruitment are linked.
The Brooch & Augite System
The headline reward from every Augite Dungeon is an Augite gemstone. Each of the ten dungeons drops one specific color, and you slot those gems into your Brooch, which has three slots. Mixing colors lets you tune your stats to fit the build you actually want to run — the easiest meaningful power bump available after the story.
3 Slots
Your Brooch holds three Augites at once — mix colors to balance offense, defense, and utility.
10 Colors
One distinct Augite color drops per dungeon, from Black and Blue through Red, Green, and White.
Build Crafting
Augites are one of the easiest ways to meaningfully power up after the story — a core part of endgame min-maxing.
Farmable
Runs are repeatable, so you can keep grinding a specific color until you have the mix your build wants.
How a Run Works
Every Augite Dungeon follows the same skeleton: four randomly generated floors, a checkpoint after each, and a boss at the end. Difficulty scales from Level 60 up to Level 150 in steps of 10 — and the enemies hit much harder than anything in the open world, so don't coast in on a half-built character.
Four Random Floors
Each run drops you into four procedurally generated floors stitched from area themes — wolves, spiders, insects, mountain spirits, and more. Defeat enemies, smash chests, and grab Spheres.
Floor Checkpoints
At the end of every floor you reach a checkpoint. Save your progress, spend Spheres on temporary buffs, or fully heal for just 1 Sphere before pushing on.
Final Boss
The last checkpoint leads straight into a boss — a heavily buffed version of an existing boss. Layouts are random, but the flow is always the same once you learn it.
Best Temporary Buffs (Spend Spheres Wisely)
Between floors you can buy random temporary buffs with Spheres. Not every buff appears every run, so check the shop before moving on. If Spheres are tight, prioritize survivability or skill-cost reduction. The strongest effects:
- ◆Reduced Sword Skill cooldowns
- ◆Lower SP cost for skills
- ◆Healing after every enemy defeated
- ◆Restoring all Healing Crystal charges
- ◆Free consumable uses for your next several items
All 10 Augite Dungeons & How to Unlock
Six unlock automatically the moment the main story ends. The other four are hidden — you must physically travel to their teleporter in the open world and interact with it before the dungeon becomes available. Reaching the area is not enough; you have to touch the teleporter.

|---|---|---|
| Blackhidden | Twilight Rift | Find the hidden teleporter near Untrodden Forest Road during Secret Medicine of the Forest. |

What to Bring
Many players treat Augite Dungeons like normal quests — a mistake, since they run longer and hit harder. Stock up before you enter. Bomb and Fire Stones are especially valuable: they blow open blocked treasure rooms for extra chests and Spheres, and more Spheres means more buffs before the boss.
Bomb Stones
Blast open blocked treasure rooms for extra chests and more Spheres.
Fire Stones
Same as Bomb Stones — more Spheres means more buffs before the boss.
Health Potions
Bring several. Runs are long and hits land hard.
SP Potions
Keep Sword Skills online through the final boss.
Cleansing Crystal
Wash off ailments the tougher enemy families apply.
Might Crystal
Save it for the final boss to make the finish far easier.
Why Dungeons Matter for Recruitment
Augite Dungeons are not just loot — several hidden teleporters are the exact gates that unlock recruiting the classic Sword Art Online cast. Every character needs three purple Event Quests, available only after their story requirement is met. If a recruitment line stalls, a missing teleporter is usually the culprit.
Kirito
Finish The Black Swordsman II, unlock the Ancient Ritual Hall teleporter, then complete three monster-hunt Event Quests.
Agil
Finish The Black Swordsman I, help the innkeeper across three Event Quests — but discover the Soldier's Stronghold teleporter first or his line stalls.
Klein
Finish Original Sin, run three Event Quests, and find the Twilight Rift teleporter before the second quest.
Lisbeth
Finish Seeking Hope, aid the Merchant Guild three times — the Labyrinth (White) teleporter sits in Eastern Primordial Sands during that arc.
Asuna / Silica
Asuna (Black Swordsman I + Wind Fleuret material quests) and Silica (Violet Footsteps + monster-investigation quests) round out the cast.

Augite Dungeons reward a finished build. Plan your stats, gear, and EX-Mods before you dive into the randomized floors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Augite Dungeons replace Warped Dungeons?
No. Augite Dungeons (Brooch Augite, Level 60–150, recruitment-gated teleporters) and Warped Dungeons (Key Stones, 10 difficulty tiers) are two separate post-game systems. Run both for full endgame power.
Can I run Augite Dungeons in Death Game Mode?
Death Game Mode is a separate permadeath challenge. Augite Dungeons are already a stiff test on their own — master them with your main save before layering on permadeath.
What if a dungeon won't appear after the story?
You likely haven't activated its hidden teleporter yet. Travel to the listed location during the named main quest and interact with the teleporter — reaching the area alone is not enough.
Should I save Might Crystal for the boss?
Yes. The final checkpoint drops you straight into a buffed boss. Hold your Might Crystal until then for a much smoother finish rather than burning it on trash floors.
